Hello everyone, this is my first post. I was at this small ma and pa autoparts store a month back when i saw fram synthetc motor oil on sale for $3.99 a qt. So i bought 5 qts. Unfortunatly i didnt have enough to buy anything else. I just put a brand new 4.7 crate motor in my dodge with a 7 year 100k warranty. My manual gives me 2 schedules 3k or 3mo. Or 7.5 k or 6 mo. I drive 32 mi round trip to work everyday 75% highway & 25% city. I never used synthetic oil before and i was wondering if any of you guys had any suggestions for intervals and filters. I plan on using synthetic from here on out because the motor is past the break in period. Thanx for your help

Very good oil and like their filters gets the job done just fine.

The OP engine syn is not needed and follow the recommended OCI that Dodge has with what is recommended and he will be covered just as well as anything he can run.

Why the new crate motor?

Bill

Bill thanx for your help. Old motor blew up. Bad rod bearing on #5 cyl.

Was this Cost Less Auto Parts? If it's made by CP, then you shouldn't have to worry what name is on the front of the bottle.

I bet it sells, just like other Fram products do. The majority of the car driving population knows little to nothing compared to people posting here. All the retail outlets care about is what sells, and Fram products sell.
