I bought this filter from the UK to fit my Alfa Romeo, I noticed the ADBV is white, does anyone know what material that is? The oil filter feels more solid than the OEM made in China one, and also has some mechanism which goes 1/3 up in the middle attached to the release valve.

Don't mind the magnets I put them there.

That box looks like it was leftover from the late 80's. Is that how all the Fram boxes look outside of North America??

I've never seen a white ADBV either so I'm in for answers.

Just a guess, but the white ADBV is most likely Silicone.
I searched for Fram Europe and learned that the brand is owned, or licensed, by the Sogefi Group from Italy whereas Fram North America is owned by the Rank Group from New Zeland.

For my short OCI it should be ok, they are very evenly spaced almost perfect

Funky looking thing, with a S-ADBV that's white and v shaped pleats. This may become the GC of the filter world.

I have the OEM currenlty installed but my OCI is not due till start of May, so i will cut it open then and add it to the thread and compare. It is much lighter though, this one weighs about 330g

It was in jest. Gave me a chuckle. I like this media design, probably superior and less prone to risk of media tears.

It appears to be a quality built filter. Definitely a unique design.
