As to the first paragraph, I'll have to look into adding audio clips to the postings...

As to the rest, I fully agree. No love lost for WM, but that's not the issue. And what of the honest customer who comes along next, who happens to want a K&N, pays for it, and gets home to find an el-cheapo in the box instead???

I didn't intend to make mountains out of molehills, I was simply making a comment about someone else's comment.

I don't take part in such practices nor do I fully agree with others doing so but I certainly would not say, "That person is a CRIMINAL!" And since the "criminal" ended up with an inferior product, and the "victim" ended up with a superior one, I felt that this was nitpicking.

I have no front plate, tinted front windows, and I roll through certain stop signs at 3am. Heck, I've even seen a pirated movie before. While all of these things are illegal where I live, I would look down on someone who specifically called me a criminal.

I understand that laws are in place for a reason, I just don't necessarily agree with pointing out every little detail in every situation. To me, this qualifies as one of those situations since the only "loser" was the "criminal". Now if it had been done with M1 and Super Tech filters, I would completely agree.

No one ever does. It's just that you've opened a door for alternative POV ..and there's plenty of people here to give you their's

Look at that poor kid who got in the car accident in Gen-topic .. He just kept digging a deeper hole for himself trying to field the advice that he didn't want to hear ..but hear it he did

Way too many here that had kids like him and suffered in the rearing.

That being said ...

We all rationalize our level of conscience. Nearly 100% of the breathing population wakes up and looks in the mirror and says "I'm okay. I'm a good person". There are very few that say "You're a low life and a jerk!". For those that do, the guy in the mirror looks back and says, "Yeah ..so? Sue me."

Most all of us speed ..even lawmakers and law enforcement. Some don't.

I think that most of us draw the line when we breach the limits of "unlawful" and step into illegal. One is typically not criminal in that it's only a violation due to the way you're doing something ..but the act itself isn't a crime. Something like not getting a permit to fix your sidewalk. The act of fixing a sidewalk isn't criminal ..it's just "not allowed" to be done without some guy assuring that you've done it with permission.
