This filter is huge and heavy, seems well constructed. Made in china. Can is around. 03" thick.

Not actually knowing what a Cessna oil filter looks like...that's what I would expect one to look like, or at least something just as robust. Not sure how the Champion aero filters compare to this puppy, but I know they've been disassembled here.

QUESTION: Other than cost, what would be the drawbacks to using this filter on a street car? I assume it's biased towards flow more than micron filtration.

It does both pretty well. The efficiency is 94% @ 20u (not bad). Info from @Motorking who worked for Fram and help develop the Fram Racing oil filter.


 
Getting close to 3 lbs. :oops:
That black seal or gasket looks like it may be starting to flake so that screen is good to have.
