Maybe it's a photographic illusion, but the end caps look thicker and heavier than on some other Fram PH filters seen here.

Note - it is an early 2019 date code, so relatively "old" build.

As far as Fram goes, I think I'm going to skip the Ultras, and go with the Extras now instead. May as well save a few bucks, the Ultras don't appear to provide much of an advantage over the Extras.

This EG filter from 2019 looks better than a new Ultra 4967... No wavy filter media. Shorter a bit than a 4967 but not a big difference say a 6607 vs Motorcraft FL 400s.

As much as is known, FB/Fram never officially 'went back' to nitrile adbv on the orange can (or TG). That said, the black adbv that has been recently found on them is (proven) nitrile. Most likely because of supply chain issues.

On topic OF, I'm not crazy about the pleat spacing adjacent to the seam pleat, and the one other area. Yes, it does appear to have held up and got the job done for unknown fci. However, one would think for one of, if not the smallest automotive application OF, they could do better on the total media area.

HOME DEPOT no longer sells FRAM XG . Looks like they're easing out of automotive products . Less PENNZOIL oil too . Had to get XG 9688 at WALMART close to $9 . Were under $5 at H.D. a few weeks ago .
