What's it say about efficiency on the box? anything?New at Walmart. Wire backed and synthetic media. $13.00.
Maybe they didn’t call it ultra because it’s not? A filter with 1/4” screen mesh could say it filters 99% of all pea gravel and would last 25k, but it’s certainly not better than an ultraSo the Ultra would no longer be Fram's ultimate filter?
The new filter needs a better name to sound more impressive than the Ultra, i.e. : Ultimate Ultra, Super Xtra Ultra, Mega Super Ultimate Xtra Ultra, Infinity Utmost Optimum Ultra.
First Brands should have left the OG Ultra (and its' positive reputation among gear heads) alone, and slotted the current Ultra construction under the OG Ultra with a different name.
I like everything about the MGS filter for my application but the bypass at the bottom. Seems like it would pick up contaminates too easily.... Don't you just love it when a company spends more time/money on their marketing than the actual product itself? This is one of the main reasons I switched to the Microgard Select filter. This ploy by FRAM just makes me dislike them even more.
Sounds like my reusable K&P oil filters. 99% absolute at 35 microns of pea gravel...Maybe they didn’t call it ultra because it’s not? A filter with 1/4” screen mesh could say it filters 99% of all pea gravel and would last 25k, but it’s certainly not better than an ultra
Fram Ultra Capacity King
Interesting thought... but? I've never really thought this was a problem.I like everything about the MGS filter for my application but the bypass at the bottom. Seems like it would pick up contaminates too easily.
Louves, but the depiction on the box art isn't very good.Interesting to note these arent e-core either.
Titanium says it's synthetic blend media. And Titanium doesn't have a louvered center tube.I'm thinking this is a Titanium, rebadged.
True, 'IF' the representation on the box is accurate. Often seen where box representation not indicative of what seen on the actual filter.Interesting to note these arent e-core either.
