Fram Endurance FE3614 C&P

Fram Endurance FE3614 from my John Deere Z915B mower, with the kohler 25hp gas engine.
Filter looked good. Had small ruffles, however it held oil on top of spring for at least an hour. So it likely leaks but very little compared to the media flow.

Yearly oil change, only 15 hrs. Please don’t tell me I could have waited. It cost me $20, is super easy to change and cheap insurance.

Out Mobil FS 0w-40 and Fram FE3614
In Mobil FS 0w-40 and Carquest Premium 85516 (larger 3600 equivalent)

I run on my Toyota V6, a Fram full-synthetic Ultra for 10k mi with an average speed of 30mph. The calculated engine hours is 333hrs. I realize the Kohler runs at a higher 3600 rpm. The annual filter change at 15 hrs could theoretically stay on for 20 yrs. Lol

My 1971 Wheel Horse with a 12hp Kohler never had internal engine work and was worked very hard and had no oil filter..
That oil looked near new....

Silly or not I compared my F-350 6..0L b/c it has an hour meter to my Craftsman B&S 24 HP and the Craftsman had close to double the wear & it has a filter. Just playing with numbers of course. I don't think a Vintage Red WH's would look good with a remote purple filter.
