Good idea! Extended OCI's certainly are impressive and economical, under the proper conditions. In this case, the oil and filter went way too long. That oil and filter should have been changed out after about 5,000 miles. JMO

Did you use Mobil 1 all that time? Which Mobil 1 are you using now?


Dude, you know I'm using Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 right now.

Up until about 160K, it was getting conventional. Then got Mobil 1 5w30 until about 200K, then dad got cheap and switched it back to conventional. Then I switched it back to Mobil 1 at 280,000Km when I got it. So the last 60,000Km have been on various grades of Mobil 1.
