🟨 Caution lap 6, 18 car into the wall along with damage to the 19, and 11. It started raining and they all lost grip.

It was raining in turn 1 the lap before that wreck happened....

Nascar needs to be flexible about their rules at times. And to be fair Nascar has been flexible at times. Which I have been ok with for the most part. Like when in 2007 Nascar had Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick race back to the checkered flag at the Daytona 500. Instead of "freezing" the field when that caution flag cane out on that last lap. That was a good flexible call.

And yes no one was ever allowed to work on their cars under a red flag. I get that. But when Nascar maybe should have thrown a caution flag it before they allowed several cars to go into a turn wide donkey open and hit the wall hard.

Maybe the rain happened.... Really super duper fast... Ok. We can cut Nascar a break there.

Then if we do that then Nascar should cut those cars/teams a legitimate break and let them work on those turn up cars under a red flag.

I personally think the most amicable solution would be to allow teams to work on cars under red, but they must either take a 1 lap penalty, or line up behind cars that did not receive work under the red flag. Or in a situation like last week, forego any penalty since it was on NASCAR for not throwing the caution early enough.
