Rain has hit Fort Nelson and pounded down the fire. Hopefully it’s over for now.

Wonder if they’ll open 97 tomorrow.

Scratching my head they said it was a fast moving fire but the highway been closed for how long? We’re way to over cautious with everything these days.

Looks like our first large forest fire of 2024 is under way. The fire is near Fort Nelson, BC. It’s already about 1,000 acres in size and required an evacuation of 3,000 people. The smoke has reached Calgary.
