Ford "shudder" - unknown service history

I'm gun-shy about the dying because a few weeks ago I drove my windstar into the garage, pan drop and filter change, now it's KIA. Pump isn't pumping. o.o

Still, guess I shoulda bought a lottery ticket on that day, because I agree there's no way the fluid change could've wrecked the pump.

buy a motorcraft filter and put in only mercon 5 ....None of that all makes and models stuff it must be mercon 5 try the motorcraft brand i use that in all my fords that require mercon 5 and i dont have and shudder so far.
It would be a good idea to flash the tcm also
 
He said it shifts fine aside from converter shudder, so I'm going with not shot.

A lot of them Ford units be just fine with some Lubegard, which is a lot less expense and trouble than a rebuild.

It will slip and flash the O/D off light for an "incorrect ratio" code if it's shot.
