Ford Motor Co. has extended it's recommended engine oil change intervals from 5,000 miles to 7,500 miles under " normal " use for select new 2007 models, and for all new or redesigned models for 2008... Ford also increased the recommended engine oil change interval under " severe duty " use from 3,000 to 5,000 miles... Change is due to improved engine oils and improved engines- a combination of those two... The 2007 models include Ford's new 3.5-liter Duratec 35 V6 engine...

What other models are covered? I have a 2007 escape I'd like to run PP for 7.5k OCIs.

So i guess the 2007 escape is included. Too bad i cant get that in my owner's manual or somewhere in writing.

I'd still stick with 5,000 mile OCI's (dino) for a healthy margin of safety. There have been plenty of dino UOA's on this board (and some syn as well)showing surprising TBN depletion around 5,000 miles.
