This sample was taken on 80% highway miles, from winter. To me it almost looks like the new formulation. Not a lot of moly, and it has titanium in the add pack. I do drive hard sometimes, I hit redline at least once a day, and accelerate briskly.

Plenty of life left in it (TBN), it does look like the new formulation. A little on the weak side, but then again the additives are supposed to be more efficient...lol Hey it looks like it worked well in that engine! That is a good report, thanks for posting it!

I don't think titanium is an additive. Since your silicone is high, you might need a new or better airfilter. I copied the following from the wearcheck website.

This metal appears as a wearing element in
turbine components, springs and valves. It
may also be present if ceramic components
have been used. Titanium, like chromium, can
show up as a contaminant where dirt entry has
occurred, particularly when titanium ores may
be in the environment; this is quite common in
mineral sand (dune) mining applications.

good uoa tho. very low iron for a new engine

Castrol is messing with our heads: sodium at 300 Titanium at 36 numbers that we have to make excuse for, why Formula Shell

has a more robust add pack. Leaves you with a big WHAT??????

Looks good for a young motor....could have easily done 10k, nice to see it is still a robust oil.

If you look at this UOA, and then look at the VOA of the new Mobil Super 5000 SN/GF-5, they have almost the exact same add-pack...interesting.

Thanks for that thought the same thing everything looks alike except the prices. Wonder if Castrol is using motto heads we win tails you lose????? Hey someone has to pay for the mess.,
