For you Dodge owners

Hey,

Just finished up changing the oil on our 94 Grand Caravan. My Father uses the van mostly for going to work(5 min drive) and going to golf course(4miles) that's it. I'm not going to do a used oil analysis on it because the last oil that was in there was valvoline Maxlife 10w30 for about 6 months and about since 122K miles. Van has 125K on it now. I switched it over to MC 5w30 for winter and a Hastings filter. Autozone only stocked Valucraft, Bosch, M1, and Fram Filters. Federated Auto had a Hastings filter for it so I thought that would be a better filter and I'm more familiar with them.

I added LC to the van as well. This was it's first treatment ever so I followed directions and dumped in 16oz.

My question is, how does your Dodge like the MC?? The van seems to like it better than the Maxlife. It's running smoother and idles alittle smoother as well. Thanks,,,,AR

I ran my '94 Caravan (3300 V6) on Mobil 1 for 140,000 miles - loved 5w30.

Airborne Ranger,
My Chrysler (3.3 Flex Fuel V6) is coming up on 15k miles OCI, 85k on van. Using Amsoil S2K 0w30. Baldwin B2 filter...topped off last filter change with Mobil 1 0w20 just to keep oil in 30 weight range. Has 4oz of LC. Running smooth and no oil usage whatsoever. Will go to 20k OCI with next oil and filter change at 85k. Will use 2 qts Amsoil 5w30, 1 qt of Mobil 1 Racing 0w30, and 1 qt of Mobil 1 0w20 mix. This recipe has been working great for my T&C. Hey,

No problem GreenElixer! I'll be driving the grocery getter for awhile since my truck is disabled due to ball joints.

Anyway, The more I drive it, the better it seems to run. It's not perfect still shaky at idle but it has improved! Driveability is better with it as well.

Until I get my truck fixed, I'll be driving the van for awhile. Thanks,,,,,,AR

I'm guessing your truck is a Dakota? Just had my Uppers replaced (front right is on its second). The front end on those things is a friggin joke. Lucky for me I was finally able to replace with Moog, and yes they are greasable. If it wasn't for the underbilt chasis and brakes my Dakota would be almost perfect, but that stuff adds up in a hurry.

Were you an Airborne Ranger, or did you get your handle by driving your Ranger hard? When you are a Dakota owner and you hear ball joints you assume another Dakota owner becasue you are replacing them so often.
