For sale: 1979 Cadillac Sedan DeVille

That was an unusual car, even when it was new. I would love to know the percentage of d'Elegance and Fuelie in DeVilles.
It most certainly is an unusually optioned car! Whoever ordered this new really went to town with the option list; there's only a couple things they (oddly) didn't choose: reclining seat backs being the most obvious to me.

Cross-posting from FB, in case any of our wonderful members or their friends are interested! Happy to answer any and all questions about the car in this thread.
When I was in elementary school in the early 80s, my family was very low income. One of my classmates Mom dropped him off at school every day in this same car. I thought they had to be the richest people in the world.

I am completely baffled at the lack of manual or power recliners in big GM. They were available since the mid 70s, but so rarely purchased. My car always made people do a double take. I really needed the adjustability after my spinal surgeries.

It was definitely an odd design choice, one GM stuck with for a long time. The original owner chose FI, the most expensive radio option, Guide-Matic headlights, Econo-Minder, even the external temperature dial on the driver's mirror but skipped reclining seats. Very odd indeed.

Just for fun, here's the optional equipment for the '79 Cadillac line. Not many items missing on this one, she really is loaded.
I don't believe my Uncle's '79 Fleetwood even had the Econo-Minder. The fiberglass skin on the hood and the rear disc brakes were note worthy on it. Don't recall it having recliners either.
