For my Kubota (oil filter)

Just speculation but I thought the black paint was a higher tier (XP)? Good question & perhaps WIX could shed some light on the color.

I thought both were the same as the Napa Gold seeing how some white filters have the silicone ADBV.

A lesser filter would specify like say a Pro Select or Silver. (Whatever the WIX equivalent of those would be.)

Others have asked here i see. Some say it's a lower tier filter. Cant seem to find an answer on Wix site..

Difference is paint on the Wix can, the cellulose filtering media is the same.

Just put a white Wix 57145 on my John Deere LX188 this evening.

I’ve used plenty in each color in the past on gas engines as well as diesel engines.

The lower tier pro select could be considered the jobber filter.

Ok, I'm always suspect, I just put three Wix filter in my cart at Amazon all under 9 bucks, especially the 51064 which is always expensive.

Why so cheap ...

I can get that one from the auto parts store,$18 , Kubota same price and a half hour drive.

The others cheap too , but not as much, figured if they are old I would return them.

Have you ordered from messicks before? I just do one order every couple years and get all my filters. They’re cheaper with shipping than my local dealer.

Yes, just one tractor filter is all I need.

Got four oil changes to do with six gallons of oil, not looking to stock up.. lol

Update guys, got my three Wix filters today, two looked normal with normal date codes.

The other a 51036 was light as a feather, looked inside and saw little filter media.

Also made in USA and different date code.

I'm not using it, what is going on???
ETA I setup a return with Amazon, they did not want me to return the filter.

It could be counterfeit. Can you post pics of the differences? Maybe someone near you can open it up if you don't have a can cutter.

It could be, I did think the amazon listing was strange or different.
It is very lite, I have never seen one like this.

The base is the only difference which I posted. Otherwise it looks like a Wix except the inside.
