Just tried this coffee and IMHO its very good! I am not the most picky coffee drinker but this stuff is what I look for in coffee. I make mine very strong and I like it not to be bitter. This stuff is nice and smooth and strong. Anybody else tried this?

where can I get this? Also: No offense(j/k) but isn't it supposed to be called "Foldgers Black Slick"?!

You're both wrong, it's Folgers Black Silk

Sorry, you are right! Folgers! I knew I should have looked at the container first!

Drinking it as a type and it is very good. Strong but not bitter/burnt. Miles ahead of the other work coffee here...

Wife likes it strong and she drinks this stuff, black, it is good for when you want/need a strong brew.

I find it slightly overpowering, drink it by default when it's made. If I'm making it by myself will cut it with something cheaper.

Folgers also makes something else that's on the strong end of their "how strong is it?" chart. It, too, is good.

Both are somewhat lacking in, I can't describe, aromatics? That pleasant smell just above the hot liquid. Chock Full o Nuts > Folgers in that dept.

Tried Folgers black silk over the 2 weekends (yeah, I drink company coffee during weekdays, and only weekends will I be able to enjoy my own joe @ home), and boy! may I say that I'm impressed! Black and smoky yet smooth and not acidic at all, it betters to those Starbux regular quite a bit!

There's a black coffee sold in SupaStore (house brand) that is exotically black and has a hint of caramel flavour to it, and that is considered one of my weekend favourites.

I long since given up drinking watered-down joes, just like I hated maxxwall house or regular folgers. I even gave up on Nabob dark-city for they changed their beans since they went forward for ethically-sourced beans (more acidic/less flavourful/depths as a result).

Q.

Ive never liked any Folgers coffee but I will give this one a try. Theres something about drinking preground coffee that doesnt sit well with me.

Slightly off topic, but quite relevant:

An article in today's Wall Street Journal cited a Smucker's press release warning of a price increase in coffee, specifically, Dunkin' Donuts, Folgers, and Mill Stone coffees, which Smucker's obviously owns.

They'll probably just reduce how much that they put in the bag from 12 ounces to 11 ounces, and keep the price the same.

Problem solved.
