Every time I change the oil on my 95 civic the oil comes out with brown foam floating. I am using M1 at extended drain intervals (i.e. change the oil every 5k miles). I used to change it every 8k but I was alarmed with the brown foam. There is no coolant loss and the engine runs great. I have not done any used oil analysis but is the foam a sign that I should change the oil more often? There was still brown foam floating on the oil both at 5k and at 8k.
TIA

Very short trips where the engine does not get hot enough to burn off condensation may cause a milky or brown sludge/foam to form on dipsticks and in oil.

If you are not taking short trips then I look forward to what others have to say about the potential cause.
