According to recent threads - that’s not possible with a dexos 0W20 !Pulled my 5,000 pound travel trailer up to Leadville with my 2023 -5.3 Silverado last year. That was quite a climb. No hiccups with the tow vehicle at all!
Was very surprised (maybe not with the short season) with the lack of private campgrounds!
Any way-beautiful place!
That was last year. Based on what we've learned since, this year it wouldn't make it.According to recent threads - that’s not possible with a dexos 0W20 !![]()
What have we learned ?That was last year. Based on what we've learned since, this year it wouldn't make it.
yep
/sarcasmWhat have we learned ?
Yeah the streams are so cold you can chill a six pack of soda or beer very quickly.Last time I was in Leadville was the summer of 1979 while going to school at Lowry AFB. I was in the Drum & Bugle Corps and we marched in the town's parade, then camped at a lake. To this day, I can still feel the cold of the water in August.
Not at all …/sarcasm
Mine was sarcasm. Last year we didn't see near the volume of engine failures attributed to manufacturers' oil viscosity. Now with the GM 6.2L recall with one "fix" to increase viscosity, the spotlight is being shown even brighter on the use of lower viscosity oils and how this may impact engines. Not at all …
I posted that my friend had the dealership run the VIN on his ZR2 - his was clean. They put 0W20 in that 6.2L and he headed out for a hot day of running hilly trails …Mine was sarcasm.
