I took the Grand Canyon train tour a couple of years back and there were remnants of old telegraph poles. Unfortunately copper thieves made off with alot of the old lines.

I'll always remember an epitaph from one of the tombstones on Boot Hill:
"Here lies Lester Moore, four slugs from a .44, No less, No Moore."

Probably had a double hernia, fleas, and the clap.
I have fond memories visiting as a kid. Most notably; those collapsable knives and the worst toothache I ever had from a chick-o-stick 
I really enjoy old Western towns. Something about them makes me feel like I fit in..
My wife still won't let me move to Oatman,az. She says it's too hot there.
In reality I couldn't have made it in those times. Horse poop everywhere, no daily shower etc.
I'm a wimp compared to those people that lived then.

We call it warm when it is not over 110. Oatman is warmer than Kingman, but not as hot as Bullhead City or Lake Havasu City.
80°F is friggen roasting
I moved here from near Chehalis. 80+ was considered boating weather. Here, no one would consider boating when the weather in only in the 80s. In the summer we sit on the back patio at a friends drinking our margaritas and commenting on how pleasant the weather is since the temp is only in the 90s.
When we moved here I was surprised people played in the summer church softball league. Then I joined the team. Nothing to it. It did take a little over a year for all of the mold and mildew to clear off my skin and between my toes after moving here.
Chehalis is a dry place haha haha
I grew up in so cal. I just never was a heat lover but we did fine camping at Lucerne lake
My wife can't do heat. We went to tombstone and she turned red. Same thing at goldfield. It was 111 and she nearly passed out.
