My builder contact lied to me today
It's been two weeks and no word. I'm outside painting and she calls .
Claims nothing has been done since she last called.. I don't care as Saturday I got 158 pictures texted to me and I'm serious and 3 movie shorts.
I tried to tell that gracious person I only need 5 or so pics and I get abused so I keep my trap shut...
I relayed that info to my agent and she fessed up and I said I don't need you to do it anymore... I appreciate it but no use worrying about it....
It's a digital world i told her
She is only 30 years old.... cheap lesson

This is why I didn't get my 3 car garage even though the now MIA general manager told me he walked the lot and approved it and I paid for an oversized lot.... gone is he .....

No.....they weren't an available option and I never replaced a vinyl window here in MD. Plus at my age it really isn't a concern.. But I did replace vinyl siding and stucco for brick...price that out... for no other reason than I like it...
I didn't do tile floors either...I don't like them and if you have pets you need to throw rugs down everywhere and that saved over $30k..
I also went sans a backsplash as their options weren't to my liking so I'll do my own. Same with a Lanai,
I may or may not do one....
The list goes on..... I never lived in a house that I didn't paint.... did I get my standard oil trim...nope but at this point i really no longer care...
As you know the options are owner specific and like my past I no longer care about overkill or the poster by that name.....
I have no interest in a show stopper...I've already did that and no longer care.... sorry for the long winded dissertation...
I did get a 18 SEER heat pump as standard....no reason to go above that....
I didn't even get my pavers....
Not ideal for a bad back on oil changes....

Limited options in this area came about because of cv19 and that is common knowledge but the vast options have yet to resume and I suspect they just stuck with reliable vendors who can deliver...
In the early 80s I was flipping houses with my father and we had a job where the cabinets were so delayed that we finally bailed ( 3 months) what an expensive fiasco.
One week before my contract signing they brought back the appliance packages and my builders incentives paid for it and many other things.
If I didn't use up the $$$ I didn't get it so a win..win... they were unavailable because of cv19 earlier.
