Floor jack point for Honda

Where should I place the floor jack to jack up the front end?
I tried the towing hook but is too far out front and can't get enough height to fit the stands.
The jack only goes up to 14in. Is that enough?
The driveway is a little slanted.Could this be a problem?
Arghh,I thought changeing oil was easy.

you don't need to jack up the entire front end of the car, just jack up the driver's side and slip a stand underneath.

What I usually do when working on Hondas is to put the hydraulic jack under the front crossmember and lift enough to put jackstands under the front two jacking points. Depending on the year of your Honda, it might be hidden under a plastic piece...make sure you're not jacking under plastic alone

Fourteen inches should be enough to get the vehicle on the lowest setting of the stands. You might not want to do this on a slanted driveway though...not the safest thing in the world...
Once the vehicle is secure on the stands and the oil is draining, I have time to check for things that might be wrong...CV boots, leaks etc.

Now I only need to find out what a cross member is.It should look kinda like a solid bar or something like that?
What's the location related to the wheels or the front of the car.

Ya, a cross member is a connecting bit that holds the two frame rails together. It should be towards the front of the vehicle, in front of the front wheels. Generally, they are located about under the radiator.

Thanks guys.Jacked up the car,placed the stands,went under the car and chickened out.
It's freaking official:I'M A CHICKEN.
But I can't leave it like that.I'll go try again.If I still feel unconfortable I may try the ramps.

Finally did it.
I was surprized of how little oil came out my wife's Integra.The cappacity is 3.8liters.It was at the lowest mark on the dipstick and less than 2.5 liters came out.So I figure more than half liter remained in.
I'd like to know a place in Canada for an UOA.

Is your oil drain plug in front or in the rear of the oil pan. If it's in front, and you have the front end in the air, well then there's your missing oil. It's in the back of the oil pan because it's tilted back

Also, check out www.honda-tech.com for any specific questions for your vehicle, such as jack points. Honda manuals state that the main front jack point for civics/integras is the radiator support in the front, which will allow you to jack in one place only to get the entire front end in the air, so then all you have to do is place stands at both sides behind the front wheels. The drain plug on both cars(Integra and Prelude)is in the back of the oil pan.
Yep,I found the right place for the Integra but for the Prelude is harder to find.The bottom is all plastic.
