This was on my parents 04 Taurus with the 3.0 Duratec for 5841 miles. Total miles on car is roughly 402,000 miles. Oil was Castrol GTX 5w20 and has been used since she got it at 12k miles.

Same oil and filter back in. Pulled UOA to send to Blackstone.

I’m buying these filters by the case from my local Kenworth dealer because we have several Fords using them.

Pleat spacing varied a little around the element but everything looked good to me. ADBV was still soft and pliable.

Your folks are doing fantastic with this Taurus. Keep it up! It's convenient to buy a few at a time if they are needed. That's what I do too.

Congrats on a well maintained car.
Thanks to both of you! We’re very happy with it, she still has about a year to go before retirement so the goal is to get it through retirement. Her commute is about 100 miles a day. We’re getting ready to do another set of plugs and probably the rear coils. I also did an air filter today it had about 60k/4 years on it and the cabin air filter was roughly the same. Had both of them in stock here at the farm so I figured why not. She said it’s pulling down 26.4 mpg right now.

Great to see 400k + miles! I hope I can get that out of my ‘12 F150 with the 3.7 Duratec thats currently at 231k. Bought it with 151k four years ago and its been trouble free.
