Fleetguard filters?

I had the opportunity to buy a case of Fleetguard filters for my Silverado (cross reference to PF48). The only info on Fleetguard filters I could find was a youtube video. It showed a study media with wire backing ( a lot like Fram XG), but I wasn't sure if that was the case with all Fleetguard filters and my application in particular.

Just curious if anyone has previous experience (good or bad) with Fleetguard filters? Thanks in advance for info.

The FG Stratapores are as good (or better IMHO) than any other premium filter on the market (such as M1, RP, Bosch D+, Fram XG, etc.), the standard Fleetguards are OK too, more on a par with Wix, Baldwin, Hastings, Puro Classic.

The fleetguard equivalent of the PF48 does not use the Stratapore media, it is Cellulose. Either way they are still a good filter.

We've used Fleetguard filters on our Cat truck engines with excellent results. I've even used them on my old Studebakers and I'm happy with their quality even for light duty use.

This is exactly the type of info I was looking for. I wound up passing on the filters as by comparison I felt like the regular AC PF48 or PureOne PL12222 were just as good of a deal. Thanks for the help.
