That is true in car guy parlance, but a source of confusion for neophytes. Thus, many have gone to cam-in-block or cam-in-head. Some have been confused and called SOHC head V6 engines DOHC because there are two overhead cams - but they reside over 2 separate heads! Ohhh my I have a head ache now. Good thing we arent talking about VW W12 engines - then I start to get confused.
