FL-400S cut open from lawnmower

Was used on a lawnmower for 2 years and roughly 100 hours.
Kohler engine.
This is the cleanest filter I've ever seen. Probably could go another 2 years.

Incredible... I rebuilt a 17hp Kawasaki on my john deere 260 & will hopefully be presenting it here. I hope it's as clean as this one but it might have break in wear. Thanks for sharing this... this is great stuff!

I usually use (older) FL-400 sized filters on my 2007 Craftsman riding mower with a 17hp B&S Intek engine. I change oil and filter annually (which is less than every 50 hours....probably closer to 25 hours) I usually use older SL or even SJ rated 10w30 synthetics. It doesn’t burn any oil and the filter always looks new when cut open.

* oil filters are from 2008ish when I owned a Zetec.

I forget the exact part number but it was a K&N.
Same thing as ST3614.
Also ST 10w-30

Both the filter and the oil look fantastic. Especially considering there is 100 hours on it!

Looks great. These are great fillers for most riding mowers. They are very affordable. I use them on my mower. I’ll be changing the oil in my LT150 with a Kohler in the spring. The oil is still pretty clean from last spring when I did the HG. I want to change it for good measure.

After running a Napa Gold 1348 7+ years over couple/few ocis (Kohler Courage (not) engine) with c&p, and seeing JD EZ change OF after 1 year/40+hrs (B&S 20hp) also with c&p, not surprised by your results here. Looks great. Personally I would consider using the 910S on my Briggs, 400S more than I need.

As an fyi, recent information shows the topic 400S has moved to dome bypass now. Not a big deal for me.

Same I got on my Kohler KT725 I use rotella t6 5w40 in mine.

I use the shorter version of the 400, the MC 910s. I change oil in my Craftsman 21HP rider every two years as well and it appears to hold up well. My change is coming up soon.
