There’s reason why the Land Cruiser is the King of 4WD in the Middle East, Africa and the Australian bush/Outback - it’s a reliable, bomber SUV. The UN is a big fan of those as well. Land Rovers have become city slickers once they strayed away from the Defender and more towards the Range Rover - it looks at home parked at soccer/lacrosse practice in the US or at the country/bowls club in the UK. More people in the US bought the Lexus version.Yep. Both a Land Rover and a Land Cruiser will get you into the bush... Only a Land Cruiser will get you OUT.
Fun fact - the Notorious BIG name-dropped the LX450, and it was the first real competition to the Range Rover in the US.You might as well check 1990s Lexus LX 450. More added features than the FJ80

I believe your thinking of the 105 series. Live axles front and rear and only engines was the 1HZ diesel and 1FZ. Was most common in the base model 1HZ engine as this was a preferred fleet vehicle on many, many mine sites. There was a Land Cruiser 120 series made just for Australia after they had concerns with the 100 series IFS - it’s the body of a 100 Series on a 80 Series chassis.
