If John Wayne or Jimmy Stewart are in it, it will at least be pretty good and likely great. I really like The Shootist which has them both. It's a little hard to watch knowing it's roughly the end of both their careers.



Another good Jimmy Stewart western is The Cheyenne Social Club. Henry Fonda co stars. More of a comedy western but still good.
