First wheel bearing job, grease question

Prior to the job I decided to order all the "tools" I thought was necessary. In my case it was a grease gun, bearing packer, and CV-2 grease. To my surprise.... the bearing came pre-greased! Since this was my first wheel bearing job on a 98 corolla with Nachi bearings I have two questions.

Should I use the grease that has been supplied with the bearings or should I flush it out with CV-2?

Can CV-2 be mixed with other grease?

Flush the OEM grease because of the possibility of incompatibility. I assume these are the rear as the fronts are sealed bearings so make sure you have a new seal and use the included new outer races.

These are for the front wheel bearings. I've included a picture. These are not sealed correct?

That's called a cartridge bearing. You can install it as-is or if you want to use the CV-2 grease, the old grease will need to be completely washed out. You don't know what grease is in there so compatibility is an issue.

I hope you are changing the seals as well.

How will the new bearing be pressed in?

They are different from the Toyota ones i bought last year, they had a seal on each side of the bearing.
+1 on what Kestas said. I would probably just install them as is, i would bet thats some pretty good grease in there OEM.

I will definitely change out the seals. The bearing will be pressed out and in at a local shop.

I am leaning towards using the OEM grease. I can definitely save a few bucks if I return the grease, etc.

For that type of bearing, I's use the supplied grease.
It seems to be packed properly.

BTW, I have not ever seen tapered roller bearings [used on many older cars]come with grease.

Pardon my ignorance, but if I wanted to lubricate the seals of the wheel bearings before I install the CV, what grease will I be able to use? Since I do not know what grease came with the bearings...

Every Toyota manual I have looked at has called for "MP" (multi purpose) grease on chassis components like that. If you're worried about compatibility, I would use a general purpose lithium grease. You should be perfectly fine. It's just a Corolla!

Can't you just dab your finger in the bearing grease and butter the seal with it? You don't need a lot, just a thin film of lube. Then there's no question of compatibility.
