First UOA on 2019 2.0 ecoboost Ford Edge

2019 2.0 ecoboost. 90% short trips. Wife’s. Retired. Grocery store run. Direct injection doing its thing. I guess.

Amazingly low wear metals. But it looks like the viscosity is gone and a very low flash point. looks like some serious fuel dilution.

My daughter's 2014 2L Escape " 435lb nanny mobile" has the same fuel in oil problem. I changed the upstream O2 sensor.
The exhaust system is too restrictive imo. I'm going to remove the mid (center) muffler and replace it with a pipe & see if that helps.
To compensate, I start with an XW40 engine oil instead of 5w30.

Guys I’m guessing there not much I can do about it ? I’m going to do another UOA at 2000 miles on this current oil change and see what it is. Reguardless I will change oil by 3000 anyway. The dealership I bought it from has a lifetime power train warranty . I realize it covers certain things. I love the power this engine has for its size. Thanks Wardawg

Does doing your own oil changes count for that "warranty" most lifetime warranties from the dealer are just a scam to sell overpriced dealer services over the life of the car, and dealer warranties are not bound to the same scrutiny as manufacturer under the Magnuson-moss act.

I honestly don’t know. But will check my papers. I didn’t buy it from them due to the warranty. They gave us the best deal. Didn’t know about there dealership lifetime warranty till I sat down to sign papers. But I will find out. I had 5 free oil changes from them. There Works package . Got two left. Thanks Wardawg
