I recorded my first skydive on my FitBit to see how stressed out I got. Interesting to see my heart rate on the ground thinking about it was the same as the skydive jump itself. Max for both were 140bpm which I think is pretty relaxed for a first timer!

Super fun. Will do again.

It's a riot. So much fun.

Also love the quote. We joke around a lot in the office and you'll frequently hear....."In god we trust, everybody else bring data" :ROFLMAO:

I read years ago somewhere -- 85% of all deaths from ski diving accidents are massive heart attacks before you even hit the ground. On another point -- glad you enjoyed it -- still on my bucket list!!!

First time I flew some 54 years ago I jumped out. Made a sport few jumps back then but not since. At that time, the statistics showed the leading cause of death from skydiving was drowning. People would jump near bodies of water with no inflatable float under their reserve chute, and could not swim with the heavy boots and gear, and could get tangled in the chute and lines. The second leading cause of death was fools jumping with no reserve chute. In any case it was much safer jumping all day then it was driving to the parachuting center.

Crazy! Yeah when you really dig into the data it's pretty safe but again you need to dig.
