It sounds to me like you got a good deal.
I would compromise on the OC. The Honda FF does have specific additives, so, drive til 5000 miles. Honestly the oil does not "know" what the MM is displaying. The age of the oil is all but irrelevant, but the FF benefit is real.
5000 also puts you at a good round number to proceed from. I go 7500 with syns, or 5000 with conventionals in my non-VCM Honda Odyssey.
