Just acquired new to me 2012 Honda Odyssey with 1350 original miles. I believe it still has the oil from the factory. Do I need to change it now or can I wait for the Maintenance minder to tell me? It says 70% oil life still. Or should I do something in between for the first oil change?

Wait till the MM hits ~ 25%. Honda has assembly lubes and additives in the oil that Honda doesn't want flushout early. That information is probably in the owners manual. Ed
1350 miles @ 70% sounds about right. I would run it down to at least 15% before doing a change. Use a good Synthetic like Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum.
With it still under warranty (assuming it is), Honda Ody (and other Honda models) OM calls for ~5-15%MM oci, but no longer than 12 months, no matter the MM reading. Taking that into consideration if it is the FF, your call.
You should check the maintenance section of the owners manual dealing with the MM and the chart which lists code "A" and the footnote regarding max time length.

Thanks for the reply, manual didn't specify anything regarding the first oil change, at least I can't find it. What concerns me is that it hasn't been driven much so I am not sure what to do with the oil change. Part of me is saying change now since it's been sitting for so long but another is saying that first oil from factory should stay in for a while.

I doubt that is the factory fill, the MM should go off after 1 year. If it is indeed the FF I would change it and continue on with TGMO, if its not the FF then it has already been changed and has lost whatever benefits the FF has to provide. So change it either way.
If the MM went off at 12 months as SOP there would no need to put the footnote in all Honda owners manual regarding the 12 month max. And I can tell from experience in my Accord that the A or B oil/filter code, wrench symbol only shows when the MM hit's ~15%. And imo, with 1350 original miles @ 70%MM it could very well be the FF.
Is it certified and when was it built? Hopefully the low miles aren't a result of it sitting in a junk yard after a bad accident then put back together after the insurance company sold it to a scrapper. That's why I want to know the story on low milers.
Valid questions. Not certified. Never wrecked but written off by insurance company for minor water damage. Sold to a wholesale dealer and sat in the yard before paperwork was sorted out. I know, I know, major risk but I had it checked out thoroughly before pulling the trigger, very minor water damage, looks pristine inside and out. For the price it's been worth it so far. No issues at all, everything works as it should.

I would venture to guess not, when I bought it I figured it won't be. But good question, I will call the dealer and check it out.
I would change the oil in it, and possibly other fluids if they got wet.
Per the mechanic, no water entered any fluids.

I would still change them all anyway, especially the trans and brake fluid. In reality the costs of all of the fluid to be changed DIY would be less than $100. Money well spent to keep a $30k vehicle running top notch.
