I did my first oil change on my 2024 CX-5. It now has 1,113 miles on it.

Used a factory oil filter and Mobil 1 0w-20

Now what do I do next?

Do I do
+2000 at 3000
+3000 at 6000
+4000 at 10000
Then every 5000

OR
+4000 at 5,000
Then every 5000

5000 is plenty early. Mazda says 7500 for the NA engine.
My dealer said to run the first oil change out to 5000 miles. So I did.
Once I started changing my own oil, I used the 7317 size filter (Fram numbers) . It's oversize and readily available.

My 2¢

On my 2022 CX5 I did the first change at close to 5,000 miles and one year. It does not seem to have had any ill effects on the car. I did the second change in October of 23 before the rains as Jim Ignatowski would say! No issues no oil usage and a UOA says I have no issues with the DI and oil dilution!

On our 22, I did a change at 1K, then every 5K thereafter. Currently at 28k and running well.

It's an oversize filter, so it flows better. Also after market filters, the better grades anyway, can filter better, catching smaller particles.
While it isn't important with normal oil changes, a larger filter has more holding capacity. Also, filters are available everywhere, so no need to run to the dealer each time.
