I had to take the top cover off the engine so I could get room with the wrench. Destroyed the filter taking it off. They really torque the factory filters on. Luckily this filter is on top up the motor rather than under.

use the 2 year maintenance plan they will have it on record for the warranty

Coming back to this thread. Truck now has 95,000 miles and is running better than new. Lately I have been running the Mobil 1 filter as opposed to the Wix mainly due to convenience of being able to get the Mobil 1 and filter at Walmart. The only thing I have had to replace is batteries on this truck. I will now change front pads as they are due. I never did a used oil analysis on this motor and may just do it at this next change to see what it looks like at 100,000 miles.
