I got four Destination LE3s installed on my '23 Hyundai Santa Fe AWD with the 2.5T engine. I didn't really need tires as I'm just at 20,000 miles, but I wanted tires. The OE Continental CrossContact LX Sport tires were OK but nothing special The one complaint I have with the Santa Fe is the sloppy suspension. Turns out part of that was the tires. Mostly suspension but part tires. Things are a little firmer now.
The Firestone are considered Highway tires which don't seem much different to me than touring tires. I think the Firestones are a little quieter than the Contis. It's not a real aggressive tread pattern but more so than the typical Touring or Grans Touring.
Anyway, I'm happy with them so far.

Did you get the white letters? I'm thinking of getting the white letters for my Nissan. I am on a Pirelli kick at the moment but I'm sure Firestone will be back in focus before I need tires. I'm getting the white letters... done decided.

No. Never thought of that. I bet that would look good with my very dark blue vehicle. I really like that the letters are outlined and not totally filled in.

Last night I watched a just released video from TireRack where they tested nine Highway / truck/ suv type tires, one of which was the Destination LE3. It ended up mid pack at best and actually closer to the bottom. Almost wish I hadn't watched it. Nevertheless, I think they'll be fine for my driving style. I'm conservative and cautious generally.

One reason I picked this tire was because it weighed the same as the Continentals I was taking off. I didn't want to slow things down with a heavier tire. Look for the video on YT if you're interested.

I put the LE3's on the Xterra my daughter drives a year ago for the very simple fact they had the shortest wet stopping distance of all the tires Tire-rack tested. It rains a lot here. Well actually the cross contacts were 1 foot shorter, but I have had terrible luck with all things Continental.

I liked them so much - quiet, smooth, good stopping in rain, low rolling friction / slightly improved mileage - I put them on my Frontier also.

I used LE2's in the past also - and they lasted a long time, so hoping I for same with these as well. So far they have both been great. Balanced very well / run-out was very low according to the road force machine.

We’ve had a few sets. The original LE was a well-regarded sleeper tire which did many things well. We had 2 sets and no problems at all with them.

We later had 2 sets of the LE2 and were happy with them. One set was on a FWD pickup that towed heavy and they were great. Their weakness was rain traction on an empty bed, where they were average at best. Zero issues with weight over them. The LE3 is simply wet traction enhancements over the 2. I’d expect it to be a good, reliable, do-many-things-well tire.
