I am about due for new sneakers on my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder and I am looking at Firestone Destination A/T tires. I would like to get some opinions on them. Ride, noise, rain & snow performance?

I have a set of 285's ... very smooth and not much noise. Find them good in rain - and have driven a bunch in the rain.
Mostly been in sand or dirt with mild amounts of mud ...
Not much snow here - but some have posted they are decent ...
I caught the annual buy 3 and get 4 ... think that was last spring ... (oh, the camouflage is way cool.

I quite like them on the Cherokee Trailhawk.

There are other tires that are better in some ways but its a great all around tire.
They didnt impress me on ice but even winter tires can have a bad day on ice.
In snow and slush they were pretty good.

The new yokohama geolandar g015 is very interesting.. AT with better fuel economy and the snowflake/mountain rating.

other tires I would take a close look at
Continental conticrosscontact-at
Goodyear's Trailrunner
Cooper AT3 or AT/W
Falken AT3W

How much did they run you? Dealer here wanted $1200 FOR 4 .

IIRC ... 8-something with one free and the hazards-balance etc ... coming up on a year so might check and see if the deal is coming ... think it ran a week ?

I had a set of Destination ATs on my GC. One of the best sets of tires I've ever had.

Lasted 68,000 miles. Still had about 4/32" tread but were starting to crack so I wanted to replace. Good ride, good handling, quiet, good in rain, great in deep snow. No balance issues. Rotated every 5K miles. Would buy again.

Replaced with a set of Pirelli Scorpion ATRs because I got a good deal. Big mistake. The Scorpions stink. They slip and slide even in a little bit of snow (2"). Traction control is always kicking on and it rarely used to before. The rest of the time they're ok. Won't buy Scorpion ATRs again.

I second one of the best tires I've ever owned. Had them on a 2000 Durango 4x4 and a 2010 Doge Ram 1500 4x4 (two sets in my ownership of the truck). Secure in all seasons, great ride, long lasting.

Off roaded with a guy that had them, did some pretty tough stuff at Windrock Park in Tennessee, he kept up well for sure. My only mark against them is they don't have the rim bead protector.

I have them on my 2wd Ford truck- with about 400 lbs of weight in the back, I have no issues going anywhere in 6"-8" snow. Plenty of go and plenty of whoa. They have okay traction in the mud and do just fine for me in the rain. As others have mentioned, they're smooth and quiet. Definitely a great bang for the buck tire IMO.

Good looking tire and pretty good in the snow. For the money id rather have the falken a/t3w as its my current tire of choice even though its a heavy tire(although my review on both is solid I've never taken them down to see what kind of mileage i could get out of each) either or would look good!

Got 30k on them now on a Jeep GC. Good in deep snow and slush. Quiet. Wearing quite well.
Wish they were severe snow rated.

I would buy again.

I really liked them. They were stable on the highway, had great wet traction in south Florida, and wore pretty well. I put 50K miles on them and they were still good when I traded the truck in.

Will sound a bit like an echo chamber I guess, but...

I've used these on personal vehicles and our fleet uses them as replacement tire. It is a reasonably priced tire that runs quiet, wears well, and provides decent snow traction and works fien for the off road uses we throw at them. Is it the best at everything? No. Does it reasonably handle everything pretty capably- definitely.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if the price was right...

We had a set of these on an old Tahoe we owned briefly. They wore well and evenly, and were a relatively quiet and comfortable ride. Performed well in all 4 seasons while we lived in Wisconsin. Would buy again.

Our current Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 on the F150 in my signature remind me of these Firestones. Another on-road biased all-terrain tire.
