Needing to rebuilt my Parking Brake on a '99 LeSabre. I have access to cables and the Equalizer Connector but my search for the Adjuster #25537451. Any ideas where I might find one? Thank you in advance!

Also, that is from a Buick. Would other years of Buick or the same part from another GM car fit? Might be worth looking into.
I believe so. The GM part # fits more than just Buicks and should cross reference the Chevy, Olds, and Pontiacs of the same platform. Have not found any as of yet.

Yes, the part # is similar for a number of GM brands from that platform generation but I've yet to find it. You would think given as many of these cars were made, that at least a 'bit' of parts stock (NOS) would be around some place. I'd even be glad to find an aftermarket version such as from Dorman but no luck as of yet.

Oh yeah, I saw those. But that is Part # 25515645. I will be needing this one but the one that is a tough one to find is the 25537451 'Adjuster'
I did a quick search and found this link, they might have the stock at individual dealers listed at the link. Wouldn't hurt to contact any of them to make sure they have it.

EDIT: Checked a lot of the links just said "discontinued".. sorry

Tried Summit Racing, entered 99 Buick LeSabre found some parts entries, looks like they're the entire parking brake, take a look might include what you need?

Thank you @researcher. I checked there and none of the links have these as available anymore. Summit has the cables and those are actually not tough to find. Local Buick/GMC dealer says that some connectors are still easily obtained as they are used for many other vehicles. For instance, Part # 15714661 (Cable Connector) and Part # 25515645 (Cable Equalizer) can be found both here and in the US parts stream. But this # 25537451 (Adjuster) is like finding a 'Hen's tooth'. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good New Old Stock (NOS) source that might have any. Salvage yards here in CA only really have useful parts left that are plastic based as the salt Tin Worm has eaten most of them long ago. But I'm sure there may be rural based dealers that might have old stock. Still scratching my head :-/

Hey you're welcome, I took it as a challenge last night trying to find it. You're right, the other part was easier to find but of course the one you need is like "hen's teeth'. There might be one place you can look that deals in NOS, it's Vintage Parts at vpartsinc.com, they didn't list anything for your LeSabre, but doesn't hurt to call them, as they might be able to find it. They usually only sell to dealers who are contracted with them but I've been able to buy stuff directly from them, but they deal in obsolete and discounted parts. I can't see them telling you to go away when you're trying to locate the kind of parts they deal in everyday.

I'm not fully understanding exactly how it works/adjusts, but can it be fabricated or can the readily available one be modified to work?

It is possible that the PN you have was superseded. Have you called a GM dealer with a VIN to see what info they have?

I called a parts guy that I know at the local Buick dealer and asked him if he could locate something using that part number. He did agree that it shows to be an adjuster. Even being discontinued, I was hoping that he could stumble across one somewhere.
Unfortunately, after a bit of digging, he said that he came to a dead end. I’ll check with the guys at some of the local salvage yards and see if they have any of the cars that may have that part.

Thank you @HemiBenny That would be super nice of you and much appreciated. Oh, btw, really like your handle name!

Thanks for thinking of this @xspeedy. Yes, I called my local Buick/GMC/Cadillac dealer and the Parts fellow was very cool and generous with his efforts to look into his system (especially given that this part is not super $$). He's the one that told me the Adjuster Connectors are not as Universal as the other two. But he said that there might be some NOS 'somewhere out there'
