Finally replaced my spare tire.

You're in Houston, surely there's a part of town with the salvage yards and endless tire shops that have stacks of wheels?

Even then it will be $$$

The spare I bought cost $95 + install.

The tires I bought cost more $150 something + the wheel + install.

For an 19 year old SUV that I may only keep a few more years.

Not worth it...

If I could go back in time - this would have been a good plan!

Oddly enough, the “new” Prius my dad has as a cab uses a full-size spare, instead of a donut spare but it’s a rotted-out Michelin on it. I might throw a cheap LingLong or Leao on that and mark down a replacement date on the B-pillar or elsewhere. Toyota did make a full-size spare an option on the 2016-2022 Prius, standard on their trucks, but the trucks have a 5th TPMS sensor in them.

I don’t normally use Chinese tires, but I’d take Chinesium to take me to safety than a donut spare/“comfort kit”.

Spare tire is also an option on the Sienna. I think it is a donut.

Yea, for the longest time, Sienna AWDs had no spare tire - the driveshaft from the front would interfere with it. FWD models have it stored under the 2nd row.

Toyota also doesn’t have a spare with the new Prius - but there is space to add one. The Camry still has a spare.

Correct on the hybrid AWD Sienna.
It is a small-sized spare and I just recently grabbed a cheap Rav4 18" wheel and a used tire to match our slightly upsized 235/65r18s for our Sienna, so we'll actually have a full size spare. Will just throw it in the Yakima Skybox up top and hope to never need it.
