Installed a Gentex GNTX-126 auto dim rearview mirror with compass and outside temperature display on the Envoy today. Took me a while to gather all the parts, considering the female terminals and cable seals were not available locally. Then again, neither was the ambient temperature sensor or its connector. The mirror came off a 2006 Tahoe and I got everything else in through DHL. Just had to get some 18 gauge wiring, butt connectors, heat shrink and a harness cover locally, which I did today. Ace Hardware had some decent wiring.

Really helps when everything is already wired up. GM installed a day/night mirror on my truck, but the harness and connector were already there for the airbag on/off display. All I had to do was install the new wiring into an existing harness with the female terminals and everything works - plug and play:
