If it does, the OLM accounts for driving conditions and ambient temperatures, so it can be relied upon to provide guidance on safe OCI limits.
Since you bought the blend oil, I'd use it in the Cobalt without hesitation.
The 2.2 Ecotec does not place any special demands on its oil and the IOLM setup assumes the use of any 5w30 oil of the appropriate API spec, maybe along with GM 6094M, which any decent API spec oil will meet.
The only real problem I've ever heard of with these engines involved either the timing chain or tensioners on early engines.

1) 2006
2) Yes
3) Yes
4) Even though the local dealership will "dexos" (syn blend) it, the OLM is still spec'd for dino. From what I've seen so far, it's almost right on......

Right on.

It AMAZES me how bad that (otherwise intelligent) people are at math. They buy into the false economy that conventions are somehow a "cheaper" solution. Syns are a better oil, a better buy, and saves even more on filters.

Some will never understand this.

What amazes me even more is how people, seemingly good at math, can cherry pick pricing and OC mileage intervals to make their choice look good and then wonder how others "will never understand this".

There are these little things called local oil pricing, availability, driving habits, conditions and personal preference. It seems that "some will never understand this" and continue with their blanket statements.

Its not a "blanket statement" for me. Its reality. I have gone 10,000 mile OCI's with MI, PR, PP, PU. etc. for years. Additionally, I save even more by only needing to buy a single filter.

Syns really pay of for me. Yeah, I'm pretty good at math, too.

Oh, so by saying "some will never understand this" you did not make blanket statements?

Notice that OP is in Michigan and says he sometimes hits the time intervals before the mileage interval. Cold winter starts, fuel and moisture dilution will brake down any oil, synthetic and conventional, so changing it every 6 months or so is always a good idea, unless you want to play with used oil analysis.
So while I'm glad the math works for you, it does not work for a lot of other people. That is something that you should try to understand before making your math claims.

Before you continue to accuse me of "blanket statements", you should try looking up the definition of SOME. Once you do, you might understand that "some" does not mean "all". "Blanket statements" would contain the work "all", not SOME.
