Finally a decent Audi design

I really do not the like the design. It looks too sporty, it has a trip computer instead of an odometer, there is an antenna stub, the interior lacks a generous amount (or any amount for that matter) of wood and the stickshift is strange. The large front grill also looks strange.

Wow, can someone say E92, at least from the rear!! (3-series coupe).

I actually like Audi's designs but just not what's underneath their cars so much.

Who uses odometer's anymore, I don't think anyone? That is pretty old school. Wood will probably be an available trim as that picture shows the aluminum trim...granted for showing off a "sporty" car, the wood trim with silver wouldn't be so hot.

Looks better than most Audis, but I hate the grill going all the way down thru the front bumper...that's just ugly (iMo).

and yes, it's a copy of the BMW 335i coupe, and the BMW 335i looks a lot better than this one.
at least they made a 2 door coupe.
Audi/VW shouldn't be fooling with too much electronic stuff on dashes. they're plagued by electrical/electronic prob's from what i've always heard and seen...wonder if these newer ones are better.

yup it looks like the 335i. Notice the 4500rpm redlne? Is it a diesel?
I like their RS4 better

LOL! I think that's the whole point. It is supposed to be a sporty coupe.

I believe the digital odo is just under the trip comp, although it's hard to see from this angle.

Wood in a sporty car is like grandma pants on a supermodel. I'm not a big fan of wood in cars, personally, but I guess different people like different things.

Yeah, it's a 3 liter TDI. Hopefully there will be an S5 version with some potent gasoline engine, and hopefully it'll come to the US.

The A5 looks okay, all in all. I'm not crazy about the interior. At least on the outside it looks better than the B6 and B7, both of which I don't like.

Still not a fan of the big front grill though. How many more years will we have to put up with this?

And you can't escape it from inside, either, as that ugly shape stares back at you from the center of the steering wheel.
I still think the 2004 A4 Avant and Sedan were the perfect design: elegant, timeless, crisp, simple lines and perfect proportions. Then they went all swoopy with the head- and tail-lights and began sucking lemons (or should that be grapefruits?) through that grill. *****!

i love audi's design. and all german manufacturer designs in general. big grill grew up on me. i always hate new stuff at first but then it tends to grow on me. like new and old jetta for example. german cars rule!

I meant a mechanical odometer, which can be read to two decimal places using mental interpolation for a more precise calculation of fuel economy.

I drive a 1995 Toyota Avalon XLS and to me, a car is not a car unless it has wood.

^They don't make mechanical odometers anymore, for a good reason too.

Would you care to elaborate?

They can get stuck, easier to tamper with...not to mention they look ancient. Also they will typically integrate a check up system within the digital odometer, I've played around with it on Ford's and BMW's so you can see some specific data.

I can't even remember the last time I've been in a car with one...so you will be disappointed in all new cars if you want one.

I actually think all Audis in production right now look very good, and the 5000 certainly was an attractive car for an '84. Too bad it liked to accelerate on its own will, and was so ridiculously powerful that even disc brakes couldn't stop it!
