Final drive oil Gehl vt320 ctl

Ive got a Gehl vt320 ctl and the oil for the final drive that the book calls for is synthetic sae 75w90. im wanting to get the amsoil severe gear. my question is i have read that some of yall are using the 140 oil instead of the 90, what oil do yall run in your final drives? im in Texas so im not running in super cold weather

If the manufacturer thought you needed a thicker gear oil in warm weather they would have noted it like they did for the engine oil. Get some 75w-90 and sleep easy.
 
Agreed. Go with a name-brand 75W90 synthetic and sleep easy. Mobil1, Valvoline or AMSoil would be a-okay.

As for diesel oil, run a quality 15W-40 in that beast. Do not run a thinner oil in TX.
