The Harvard bypass filter on my Mercedes diesel has finally plugged up after being in service 40,000 miles. It no longer gets warm. This is proof that these filters are taking junk out of the oil.

Yes a new set of filters and more Schaeffers oil are going in this week. The engine has 180,000 miles on
it and runs like new. Doesn't use any oil and the timing chain shows no signs of stretch.
