filter bypass valve

i have heard drawing oil through ( vs pumping through ) a spin on filter eliminates the bypass valve inside...
is this true...

im trying to set up a waste oil filtration system using mostly used 30 / 10 micron oil and fuel filters then a centrifuge and then new 2/1 micron filters

Bypass valves operate on pressure differential and should be unaffected wether you draw or push oil through the filter.

You can purchase oil filters that do not have bypass valves.

ok thanks thats what i figured...
im not sure if the filters have them them or not ... i get them free used from semi fleet maintnance
they only run 10k on all fuel and oil filters , and i get to take all the used oil i can store...
ill just have to swap filters every 50 or 100 gallons

its mostly to reduce waste in the centrifuge im currently trying to piece together a 15 gall batch system using scrap materials
my 2 micron fuel filter will completely stop flow
