How do you really feel about Fiber End caps / Fiber End Disc
I know many people say FRAM is the only one but I know many Factory Oil filters come with Fiber / cardboard end caps.....
Personally I have seen some steel end caps that have came un-glued and the black glue stuff was in my oil and oil filter when I cut it open. It was a purolator and I even showed pics here.
Now FRAM says when you glue 2 surfaces together if you use the Fiber End disc you get more surface area...
I sorta know this is true b/c a buddy of mine put on the fake Brembo brake covers on his Mustang and on the You Tube Directions it said to file down the place on the plastic that you are going to add glue b/c it makes more surface area and the glue will stick better.
Also sorta think of a HEATSINK on your CPU you on Computer... Why they use a heatsink well to give it more surface area..
Or remember when you were a kid and you made french fries and you took a knife and just cut them stright it seemed to cook differently.
As to when you were able to VVVV cut the Fries sorta like Wendys Fries.... They sorta cooked better or faster...
Perhaps thats a bad analogy.
However what do you guys really feel about fiber end caps.
I know FRAM Uses Steel end caps on the FRAM ULTRA and they say its b.c they have Wire backing and they need the steel end caps b/c they are useing much more glue also that is a LONG OCI oil filter.
So what do you think????
Really?????
