FHS SmokeLess Oil

On the older Saturn if it is a single cam Saturn valve seals are really an easy job for most people even a hobby guy. This would probably help the oil cloud quite a bit. If you have compressed air the job would be a couple hours for a hobby guy.

FHS may very well be the next subject on Bitog..
"Slicker Oil Additive
Misty/Slicker 50-K is an oil additive that puts an anti-friction coating on the moving parts of your engines, drastically increasing performance and increasing wear protection. Measurable gains in lap times expected. Note: Do not mix with oil. Put oil in crankcase as usual less 1 ounce, then pour 1/2 to 1 ounce of Slicker on top. Use once every 3-4 oil changes for maximum performance. Do not use too much. Misty/Slicker should not be used with Super Green, as it may cause additive conflicts."

and, this is the one i like best!
"Fragrance
If you do not like the smell of certain additives you can add compatible frangrances to your oil and fuel. FHS provides special mint, lemon, strawberry and tropical smells to your choice which you can safely use in your oil and fuel without being worried to change the characteristics of them."

Smoking cars are illegal in California? I see them all the time fogging
up the freeway. Is there some agency I can report these people to?

I guess I should have spent a little more time reading through both of the websites. The FHS is a little cheaper if you order a case of 12 (the minimum order with ENTEK), or it looks like you could just order what you need and try it.

The FNS claims to have a really high flashpoint and is made similar to their racing oil. ENTEK doesn't have any claims like these.

If I would have paid more attention, I would have went with the FNS since it claims to be a racing oil with the high flashpoint. I must say though, I'm happy with the ENTEK. I see absolutely no smoke and It looks like I'm burning 1 qt. per 600 miles now. I was burning 1 qt. per 150 miles on Shell 15w40. So this really isn't costing me much more than I was spending before.

I wouldn't doubt they're both the same exact thing though. One is marketed to be a racing oil, the other is marketed as being enviro- friendly.

If I tried one and it didn't work, I would also try the other one as long as the first company stuck by their money- back guarantee.

My car smoked heavily from the second I started it. If I idled for more than about 20 seconds or drove downhill coasting for even a mile, it smoked like crazy when I would hit the gas. I have a Saturn which is known for piston ring problems and it has almost 280,000 miles on it.

My only complain with the ENTEK oil is my gas milage. From the first tank of gas, I went from 25 mpg to 21 mpg. I've driven about 800 miles now and its still getting the same 21 mpg.

I replaced my 02 sensor, hoping that was the problem and I'm still getting 21 mpg. The ENTEK oil is so thick, if you have a drip going down the bottle, you can wait an entire minute to wipe it up and it will have only gone down the bottle about an inch.

It's GREAT having a smoke free car though.
