Fellow GTA members, where to get Amsoil and Redline?

I know a place in Woodbridge that sells Amsoil 5w30 and 10w30 for $9 + tax a liter.

Redline is Ester based oil which means it's a mixture of acid and water. I wouldn't use it for street cars unless you can burn it off(warm it up fully in highway) before you shut the engine every time.

You need to read your 'Morrison and Boyd' again.

Well, I just found this board and this was the second thread I read.

If you guys alreday have discussed about ester and the street engine, feel free to educate me.
I suddenly won't argue with anyone on my statement above since I don't have any scientific proof. Seem like there are a lot of great info on this board about engine oils.

ester
noun
(Chem) any of a class of compounds produced by reaction between acids and alcohols with the elimination of water. Esters with low molecular weights, such as ethyl acetate, are usually volatile fragrant liquids; fats are solid esters

If you use the search feature you'll get more info regarding esters used in motor oils.

I was at the Acura Dealer on Woodbine last month and I saw they sell RedLine Oil there. I don't remember the exact price but I think it's in between 12-15/L I'll drop by this week to confirm the price or better yet I'll just call them.

I agree its important to only buy from sponsors.
On my nissaninfiniticlub.net many of us only buy our parts or crate engines from site sponsors.

Just a way to help the community.

Mopac in Calgary was selling Redline for $12.00 Cdn a liter; still thought that was a little steep when GC is $ 6.66 everywhere...and Delvac 1 is $ 8.50 per liter.

PS - They also sell Royal Purple and Torco...and K&N oil filters for 5$ less than Can. Tire...
