I ordered some parts from California on 6/24/2026...I finally got an email saying it arrived at the FedEx facility on 7/1 and left on 7/2 with a delivery date of 7/7 between 10:40 am and 2:45 pm. After it didn't arrive that day I got an apology message on the FedEx tracking site saying it would arrive on 7/8 at the same times. On 7/8 Iate in the day I got a message that it would arrive on 7/9 at those same times. Today (7/9) I get a message that my package was delivered at 11:50 am with a picture showing the package on a concrete slab with two white vinyl siding slats showing which wasn't my house (not enough in the picture for me to identify the house). I drove around looking for it for over an hour with no luck. I finally spotted a FedEx truck and flagged down the driver who said it wasn't him who delivered it to the wrong address and called 2 other drivers who couldn't help....he also called his supervisor who couldn't help. I will give this guy credit for at least trying to help find it. He told me to start a 'delivered to wrong address' claim...which I did. The parts were on 'Clearance' so I doubt I'll be able to duplicate my order. I've never had an issue when UPS or even USPS is used but I've had issues like this with FedEx before.
FedEx is a 3rd rate company IMO and I would never recommend or use them.

Was it Fedex Ground? Remember that Fedex Ground is a separate company run by contractors. Fedex Ground drivers are contractors, not Fedex employees, so the 2 drivers could've been 2 different contractors with 2 different employers/companies :sneaky:

Not for long, soon Express will be contractors too. Page out of AMZN's playbook!

Sorry, that's hilarious.... You have to realize your package could have been delivered 50 miles away from your house. The odds of finding it by driving around are slim to none.

When the driver scans a delivery when it's dropped off, their system logs the GPS coordinates. No, they won't tell you what they are but they can attempt to have the driver that messed up go and retrieve it and deliver it to the right place. In most cases though, the shipper has to initiate all of this.

They've laid off Express drivers in some instances but the ones that remain will stay as actual employees. At least they've been told this.... for now....

We need airtag or some kind of live tracking device in packages now. I'd pay for that just to see in real time where it is pinged from right inside the box.
