Favorite website for Motherboard / CPU purchase?

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC. I have a nice case and power supply, but I need to upgrade the motherboard.

I know there are lots of websites that offer motherboards, CPUs, memory, etc., but I was hoping a BITOG member(s) might have a recommendation? It's been a while since I dug into the nitty-gritty of which CPU goes with which form factor motherboard, etc. I'm looking for a website that takes the guesswork out of the whole process. I just want to be able to choose a pre-arranged combo of motherboard, CPU, memory, etc., and how much money I want to spend on the combo.

Suggestions? Recommendations?

Thank you!

new video card too or no?
What is budget.

I usually start at microcenter as their bundles are pretty unbeatable although some are in store only.

Amazon is second, and newegg 3rd.

+1 on pcpartpicker to take the guesswork out of "will it fit?"

Then I'll take the results and shop on Newegg or Amazon. (Or Microcenter if they have a bundle that I like.)

I would not do any combos, purchase everything separately. Because if there is a problem, it’s easier to RMA individually rather than the whole combo.

There are only few choices when it comes to socket types anyway.
- There is AMD, with the newest AM5 socket, or the older, but still very much relevant AM4 socket.
- Then there is Intel with their LGA1700 socket which is compatible with gen 14,13 and 12 Intel CPUs.

As far as memory, Intel is easier as the gen14 boards are compatible with both ddr4 and drr5 sticks, gen12 and 13 use ddr4.
For AMD, AM4 uses ddr4, AM5 uses ddr5.

Just a slight change, the 13th gen Intels are also DDR5 compatible if the motherboard supports it.

Yep - pcpartspicker and if not near a microcenter, then shop between newegg and amazon. Based upon the packaging of my last hard-drive purchase I'm leaning away from amazon.

Microcenter for sure. Also, check Slick Deals for sales. Those guys find some amazing bargains. Lastly, Redit in r/buildapc sub. Some great deals pop up there also.
