I have an 840 Evo on the way and I am planning on just copying everything over. I usually do a clean install, however this is for my Dell Optiplex HTPC which has a recent W7 install. I will be adding it to the tower so both the HD and SSD will be connected thru SATA. Anyone have a favorite tool for doing this? I've used many Mac variants. I was thinking of just using the Samsung Migration tool?

I've upgraded two notebook PCs recently with Samsung SSDs and their migration tool works well.
I've also used Future Systems Casper products over the years before the SSD upgrades.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went with the Samsung Migration tool. I was surprised by how quick and easy this tool worked to complete the migration - I thought I was possibly missing a step at first.
The 840 Evo seems to have cut the time to complete most tasks nearly in half. Cold boot up time went from 45 seconds to 25. Shut down went from 9 to 5. It has really pumped some life into this old(er) machine. I might have to replace the dated Kingston SSD in my Latitude with one of these.
